The terms under which Recess is offered.

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Recess you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Recess on behalf of a household, you accept on their behalf.

2. The service

Recess is an iOS app that helps you make time for rest. It reads your calendar read-only, on-device, and lets you claim open time for yourself, which grows a calm garden over your week. Recess is a wellbeing aid for your own planning — it is not medical, psychological, or health advice, and it does not change your calendar.

3. Your data, your device

Your data is stored on your device and, optionally, in your own iCloud account. We do not operate a server that stores your content. We are not liable for data loss from device failure, uninstalling, or iCloud issues outside our control.

4. In-app purchases

• Recess is free to download and use. Recess Pro unlocks the Weekly Recap card, balance-over-time trends, unlimited custom recess kinds, premium worlds & themes, and the rich widget — as a monthly plan (with a 7-day free trial), an annual plan, or a one-time lifetime purchase.
• Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple; billing, renewals, and refunds follow Apple’s terms and your App Store account settings.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse the app, and don’t use it to violate any law. Recess is a personal wellbeing tool, not professional advice.

6. Your content

The recess and preferences you create are yours. We claim no ownership and do not access them (there is no server). You’re responsible for the accuracy of what you enter.

7. Intellectual property

Recess, its name, design, and software are owned by Codeful and protected by law. These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app.

8. Termination

You may stop using Recess anytime by uninstalling. We may suspend access if these Terms are violated. On termination, the license ends; your on-device data remains yours.

9. Disclaimer

Recess is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will suit every situation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codeful is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of Recess. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the prior 12 months.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms as the app evolves; material changes are posted here. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

12. Apple Standard EULA

To the extent not superseded by these Terms, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of Recess.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence still apply.
